Senegal Lions continue their camp in Alicante

Senegal national squad had this Wednesday their penultimate training session this morning  in the luxurous Pinatar Arena Center  at Alicante,.After the official release of the 23 men squad to take part in the next AFCON, the group of Aliou Cisse which consisted of 25 players was reduced to 23. The two midfielders Santy Ngom and Sidy Sarr who were ousted did not participate in the session. That’s the case of Sadio Mane who will soon join the team.Throughout the different workshops, the focus was mainly on the physical load, the transmission of the ball and the technical combinations that will be key elements in the next AFCON.Before this session, the lions had delivered the day before a friendly match against a local team; Murcia, beaten (7-0).According to Cheikhou Kouyaté, the captain of the lions that match has helped them  to better work on the ball conservation of and the sharpness  in front of goals. He believes that the team is strong nowand will be gearing up in the next ten days before the tournament.Cheikhou Kouyaté’s teammates will do their last training in Alicante  on Thursday afternoon, before joining Cairo on Friday morning and move to Ismailia, where they will play a friendly match against Nigeria on June 16, 2019.
