World Cup Russia 2018 : The lions miss their second game

The qualification of Senegal Lions  in the world cup knock out phase will not finally happen  during the second group match.  They drew 2-2 with Japan in Ieketerinbourg.

An easy win of Senegal was certainly not obvious,considering  the good  potential of the Japanese squad that had created the surprise by defeating Colombia in the opening match of group H. but Senegal also had done well by beating Poland.

This Sunday in the Ieketerinbourg stadium the lions fiercely fought as they promised but they always met a very strong Japanese defense combined to a restless attack.

Thus, the good surprise of a qualification in the knock out phase from the second match will not take place and we have almost the scenario of 2002 when Senegal had a win in the first match a draw in the second match before battling hard to have a 3-3 draw with Uruguay in the third match and reached the knock out phase.

This year too, the qualification will decisive in the third group match .

Senegal will lock horns with the Colombia that defeated Poland and need a win to qualify.

Aliou Cisse’s boys believe in their world Cups slogan which is «Impossible is not Senegalese ». So there is no way they cannot make it and reach the knock out phase.
